| PUPI crossarms have proven field experience in all climates. SunGUARD coating to UV protection added during the pultrusion process, no other crossarm offers more protection against the elements. In tests simulating years of field exposure, PUPI crossarms show no degradation in flexural strength and modulus after 2,500 hours of accelerated test exposure. Built for a projected service life of more than 60 years.  A unique continuous filament mat provides superior stability to PUPI tangents and deadends for more consistent strength – without the variance typically found in wood beams. In strength comparison tests an 8 ft. PUPI crossarm can take over 5” of deflection without compromising structural integrity, whereas a similar wood beam breaks at less than 3” of deflection.
